The century old Hotel Mur opened its doors in 1875.  It is situated in a privileged location within an enclave in the centre of Jaca, in front of the Citadel, next to the Cathedral and the old part of the city.

An emblematic building in the city of Jaca, this hotel takes pride in having lodged such illustrious figures as Alfonso XIII and Queen Victoria Eugenia, Mr. Santiago Ramón and Cajal, as well as the current king himself, His Majesty Juan Carlos I.
Without compromising the unique style given by these illustrious visitors, the establishment has undergone a redesign of the exterior and continues to undergo interior renovations.

Our hotel is proud to satisfy the needs of all our clients with a special tradition and character, which has been achieved with great care over the course of the years. It’s quite common to distinguish among its esteemed guests those enthusiastic sportsmen/women who are capable of achieving those exhausting journeys of the ever so popular routes within the Pyrenees.   Such guests chose the Citadel of Jaca as their departure point.

It’s also not unusual to see a number of skiers, whom at dawn, gather their energy through our specially prepared buffet breakfast prior to departing for the nearby slopes for alpine or traverse skiing.

Additionally, our hotel serves as a home for those that wish to visit Jaca in order to contemplate its truly famous historical monuments such as that of the admired Romanesque Cathedral from the 11th century, the Citadel, the historical museum of sacred, medieval art and its famous ice rink etc….  For such guests, we offer a wide variety of updated collateral material that outlines different, attractive choices within Jaca.  Such assistance will aid in ensuring your stay with us is an unforgettable experience.

We feel very proud of the fact that our establishment is located within The Jacobea Route, along the pilgrim’s road to Santiago.  Our “Pilgrim’s Menu” is especially dedicated to such travellers for it gives the ability to sample different traditional, local cuisine and provides energy in order to continue their long journey.
